This gearbox has a round housing and is interchangeable with the same mounting pattern, gear ratio, and shaft dimensions as a standard 40hp gearbox. If your gearbox is a reverse rotation box and has a 1.57 diameter by 12 spline output shaft and a 1-3/8 – 6 spline input shaft this gearbox will work. THE OUTPUT OF THIS GEARBOX WILL TURN CLOCKWISE INSTEAD OF COUNTER CLOCKWISE (Counter clockwise is the standard rotation of most single spindle mowers). Bolt pattern is 4-3/4″ on center hole to hole and 6-3/4″ center to center of bolt hole on diagonal. The mounting holes form a square bolt pattern.
