Collapsed length(from end of the shaft to end of shaft when closed) 55. Fully extended length (stretched as far as it can) 74. Maximum useable length is 63 (this leaves 1/3 of the tube inside itself which is recommended). Remember the shaft can always be cut down if it is to long, just take the same amount off of each side of the tube. This can be done with a hack saw.
