Please look at the description below and compare to yours to see if it will fit. M-F 7:30 to 5:00 EST. This is a standard size pto shaft. It doesn’t matter if you have a Bush Hog, John Deere, Befco, Buhler Farm King, Caroni, Machio, King Kutter, Howse, HICO or anybody else. If your shaft has the 1-3/8 standard 6 spline on both ends, this shaft is what you need. Medium/Heavy duty series 4 pto shaft. 1 3/8 6 splined (540) on both ends with push button lock. Minimum working length is 41. Maximum working length is 55Always keep a 1/3 of the shaft inside the tube when operating. Overall length 61.6. If the shaft is to long is can be cut down with a hand saw, band saw, sawzaw or whatever you have. It is not hard to do. If you need a shaft 3″ shorter, just cut 3″ off of each side of the shaft. Up for sale is (1) Heavy Duty series 6 pto shaft for most of your 5′ & 6′ & some 7′, 8′ and 10′ Rotary mowers(depending on the style). It has many different applicaions, but cutters is the most common. I will list the specifications for the shaft below. Heavy duty series 6 pto shaft, triangular tubing. Rated for tractors up to 64 hp running a 540rpm, 100 hp if runing 1000rpm. 1-3/8 6 spline (standard 540 on tractors) on the tractor end. 1-3/8 6 spline on the implement end w/ a 4 disc slip clutch adjusted from spring tension, help on by 2 wedge bolts on the side fo the yoke(look at pictures). Collapsed length(from end of the shaft to end of shaft when closed) 55. Fully extended length (stretched as far as it can) 74. Maximum useable length is 63 (this leaves 1/3 of the tube inside itself which is recommended). Remember the shaft can always be cut down if it is to long, just take the same amount off of each side of the tube. This can be done with a hack saw. We sell shafts so cheap on here I have a lot of people call to make sure it is right…. People have become so accustomed with getting ripped at your local tractor dealerships that they feel these shafts must be cheap made and will not last. Our feedback should attest to that! Hours 7:30 to 5:00 EST M-F till noon on Saturday. This gearbox fits several different makes of 4′, 5′ and some 6′ rotary cutters. I sell a lot of these boxes every year for several different applications and carry ALL REPLACEMENT PARTS for this box, but hopefully you won’t have to worry about that. Here are the specs on the box. 45 horse power gearbox. Standard 1-3/8 smooth input shaft(where the pto shaft hooks on). The pto shaft is held on by a 1/2 shearbolt. Length of the input shaft out of the gearbox is 3 long. Gear Ratio: 1 to 1.47. Bolt hole pattern for mounting is on the corners, 4-3/4 center of hole to center of hole. It takes a 5/8 bolt. 12 splined output shaft(where the blade carrier hooks up on the bottom). 1-9/16 outside measurement over the output shaft splines- from the base of the output cap to the end of the splines is 2-3/4″ long- overall length of the output shaft is 4-1/2″ long. Takes a 1 threaded castle nut and a carter key on the bottom of the output shaft to secure blade pan(which is included). Overall height of the box from the top of the mower deck to the top of the box is 9-1/2. It takes 80-90 gear oil. Look at the pictures and the one of the back of the gearbox, you will see a plug on the top and a small little pipe plug on the bottom right side. The top hole is where you put the oil in, you take out the pipe plug and as you pour the oil in and when it starts running out of the pipe plug hole then it is full. You only fill the box roughly half way, if you overfill the breather plug will release some of the pressure but you also run the risk of blowing out one of your oil seals so try to maintain adequate oil levels. Of course you do this with the box mounted and in an upright position. We stock all parts for everything we sell. Thank you and God bless.
